The Up Center offers free housing and financial counseling services throughout Hampton Roads including Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Suffolk. Services include first-time homebuyer classes, eviction prevention counseling, foreclosure prevention, debt reduction guidance, and budgeting support. Returning citizens navigating housing instability are actively supported. In 2025, they helped clients achieve significant debt reduction and assisted hundreds to maintain stable housing.
