SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) Program — Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
SOAR is a national program that trains case managers to assist individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in applying for SSI/SSDI benefits. It focuses on completing high-quality applications to increase approval rates for those with mental illness or medical impairments.
Eligibility
Adults and children who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment, or co-occurring substance use disorder.
